The Wolfgang Special features a basswood body with an arched top and a graphite-reinforced bolt-on quartersawn maple neck. The neck is carved and rolled to Eddie Van Halen’s exact specifications and finished with a hand-rubbed satin urethane back. Built for performance, the 12"-16" compound-radius ebony fingerboard has 22 jumbo frets and pearloid dot inlays, with easy truss rod access via a spoke wheel at the base of the neck.
Custom-designed EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbuckers are direct-mounted to the body, delivering dynamic yet articulate tones with endless sustain. A dependable EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking tremolo system with locking nut keeps everything in tune, ready for powerful riffs, soaring leads, and expressive dive bombs.
