The Super Heavy Relic treatment on the Dakota Red lacquer finish tells a story of decades on the road, worn into a lightweight, resonant alder body that tips the scales at a sweet spot 7lbs 15oz. Wrap your hand around the quartersawn maple neck, carved in that coveted '63 Strat "C" shape with a dark tinted nitrocellulose finish, and you feel the era immediately: narrow tall 6105 frets, a 9.5" radius, and a 1.650" bone nut make bends effortless while keeping vintage chording comfortable. The round laminated rosewood board with white Micarta inlays and side dots adds a subtle, worn in elegance that only the Custom Shop gets right.
Plug in and the HW 60/63 pickup set, neck, RWRP middle, and bridge, delivers everything from glassy, quacky in between tones to a woody, articulate bark, all routed through a 5 position blade switch and master volume/tone/tone control layout that puts every shade of Strat tone at your fingertips. The American Vintage style bridge and vintage style tuners with the classic Fender logo keep tuning stable while preserving that slinky, vintage feel, and the 60s style nitro pickguard ties the whole look together. Finished with nickel/chrome hardware and the correct '61-'63 headstock decal, this Strat doesn't just look the part, it plays and breathes like an original.
