Roland JC-40 Jazz Chorus
The Roland JC-40 Jazz Chorus brings the renowned “JC clean” tone and signature stereo chorus of the flagship JC-120 into a compact combo amp with evolved features for the modern guitarist. Two independent power amps drive a pair of custom 10 inch speakers for punchy stereo sound that won’t get buried in the band, and the famous Dimensional Space Chorus fills the stage with immersive, expansive sound, now with selectable fixed or manual modes for an even wider tonal range. The built-in vibrato and reverb have been refreshed and both operate in stereo, and the onboard distortion has been updated with a smooth, satisfying tone that works for all types of music. A front-panel stereo input is the real modern upgrade, letting you get true stereo sound from stereo pedals, guitar synths, amp modelers, and multi-effects like the BOSS GT-100, GP-10, and ME-80 or the Roland GR-55 without hauling around a second amp. That rich, neutral clean voice is also a perfect platform for stompbox players who want to hear exactly what their pedals are putting out. Around back you’ll find a stereo effects loop with series or parallel operation, line out jacks for a mono or stereo feed to a board or recorder, a headphone jack for quiet late night practice, and footswitch jacks for turning the chorus/vibrato, reverb, and distortion on and off mid-song. All of it is wrapped in road-tough construction built for years of reliable use on stage and in the studio.
