Two-Rock Classic Reverb Signature 100/50 Head Silver Chassis & 2x12 Cabinet - Vintage Tweed/Oxblood Gold Stripe Grill
A Two-Rock Tone Shaping Machine
The Two-Rock Classic Reverb Signature is a single-channel amp that Two-Rock calls its ultimate tone shaping machine, updated in 2016 with Bill Krinard’s new design tactics. The 100 watt head runs four 6L6 tubes, and a power selector drops it to 50 watts when you need to tame the volume, with the output transformer compensating for the impedance change so there’s nothing to rewire.
The Look
This head and 2x12 cabinet pairing is dressed in Vintage Tweed with an Oxblood Gold Stripe grille, and it’s a showstopper. The warm, golden lacquered tweed has all the vintage charm of a classic ’50s amp, while the rich oxblood and gold weave of the grille adds depth and a boutique touch. The silver chassis and silver skirt knobs on the head add a clean, polished contrast against all that warm color, and the matching cab keeps the whole stack looking cohesive from the floor to the top of the head.
Gain Structure and Voicing
The new three-position Gain Structure switch changes the feel of the preamp. Down gives you a vintage blackface character, the middle position is a hotter front end in the style of the Matt Schofield Signature, and up is the traditional Two-Rock voice.
Tone Shaping
Treble, Middle, Bass, Bright, Mid, Deep, and EQ controls offer extensive shaping, while the Contour control lets you switch between single coils and humbuckers and adjust for the room without touching your preamp EQ. The included footswitch handles the FET preamp stage, EQ Bypass, and Reverb Defeat, and 4, 8, and 16 ohm speaker outputs make matching it to a cab easy.
The 2x12 Cabinet
The matching 2x12 vertical cabinet is loaded with a TR 1265B speaker and built from void free multi-ply birch with special bracing, tuned back, sides, and baffle, and a tuned rear port. The result is a lively, full-sounding cab with a huge sound-stage and even bass dispersion.
