The Matchless HC-30 pairs rich cleans, touch-sensitive breakup, and harmonically complex overdrive with two distinctly voiced channels. Channel 1 uses a 12AX7-based circuit with interactive bass and treble controls, while Channel 2 features an EF86 preamp and a six-position tone selector for a different feel and response.
Four EL84 power tubes deliver 30 watts, with a half-power setting for 15-watt operation. A bypassable master volume, global cut control, and individual channel effects loops give you flexible control over your sound.
This head and matching 2x12 cabinet offer the full Matchless experience, with a specially modified Celestion G12H30 and Greenback 25 speaker pairing. Baltic birch cabinet construction and Matchless’s signature illuminated nameplate complete the setup.
