Spotted at NAMM 2026, there was no way we were leaving without putting Lark’s name in the drawing. Greg Fessler’s take on a late-’60s Strat has a personality all its own: Olympic White with bold red racing stripes, Heavy Relic wear, and a roasted alder body that brings the weight in at just 7 lbs 7 oz. It’s the kind of guitar that catches your eye from across the room, then gives you a reason to stay once it’s in your hands.
The roasted flame maple neck has a dark tinted finish and a ’60s Oval C carve, measuring .835" at the first fret and .950" at the twelfth. Paired with a 9.5" radius and narrow tall frets, it feels quick and easy to move around on without losing the substance of a vintage-style neck. Three hand-wound ’69 Strat pickups, including a reverse-wound, reverse-polarity middle pickup, give this one its classic Strat voice. From the pearl dots to the racing stripes, the details feel considered, but the real draw is how naturally this Masterbuilt Strat invites you to play it.
